History of White Wine Sauces
A White Wine sauce is a culinary sauce where white wine is used as the main ingredient. It’s heated and mixed with an abundance of herbs and spices to give it its flavor. Though white wine is primarily used, there can be other wines used to make other delicious sauces. A white wine sauce can be used in a multitude of dishes and meals that include all different types of meat such as steak, chicken, pork and seafood. White Wine sauces are mainly associated with French cuisine.
What are all the ingredients in a White Wine Sauce?
There are many delicious ingredients used in a white wine sauce-all of which give it its great flavor. Some of these ingredients can include stock, mushrooms, butter (which makes it more creamy), onion, garlic and more. A wine sauce doesn’t have to be creamy, but we think it makes it so much better sometimes.

Preparation
If you are using a heavy cast iron pan or dutch oven, place the pan with chicken and veggies on the stovetop and turn it on high for 3 min. This helps with total cook time.
Place pan/dutch oven/sheet pan in the oven and set the timer for one hour. Cook times will vary based on the size of the chicken.
When the timer is done, take the chicken out of the oven and check the temperature at the thigh. If the thermometer reads 165, it is done. If not, no worries, it probably needs another 10 minutes.
When the chicken temperature reaches 165, let rest on the stovetop for 10 min before slicing and serving.
While your one-pan meal is resting, add White Wine Lemon Garlic finishing sauce to a small pan and warm on low stirring occasionally.
Slice, Plate, Sauce and enjoy!
